And what is objectionable about being spontaneous? I have spent so much time with a regimented schedule, a little spontaneity sounds heavenly. And I have no agenda at all, except having fun and enjoying ourselves, so as long as we do that what's to worry about?

And I am accustomed to not doing it at all. If I may be candid, I asked you out in some part because I have the impression we share a common bond in that sort of thing -- being freed from the pressures of station by being here in the Far Shore.

If it helps, I am new to many things on the Near Shore even after my time here. And new to all of this in general. So you will have a hard time going wrong, I think. (Though food might be a given!)
