[... unless it leads to a Servant fight, but Waver is willing to run that risk, and honestly would be encouraging any sparring with the assurance that no one get killed.]
He's not been in the best of shape since he lost Satya.
[Neither has Waver, but this is not about him and what Waver needs.]
[... nobody can be perfect with words. As long as there is understanding and compassion, that will help.]
I admit I'm very worried, yes. He hasn't been doing well being separated from his people at home... and this has just added to that. All things beyond his control.
[And Waver knows if something happens to him...
He is terrified it will kill Iskandar... or drive him to a place where he cannot come back from.]
That is wise. However, if you can get him to open up a little and get what he's bottling up inside out, it would do nothing but help.
I can certainly do my best, but I suspect he and I are very similar in quite a few respects and that won't exactly be the outcome.
That being said, I shall strive not to do anything that will end up with the two of us in jail, though it would be quite simple to get out if such a thing were to happen. I learned that shortly upon being summoned!
[He'll have to try another method then, and Saber isn't the only person (God) Waver's throwing at Iskandar.
... self loathing at what he is stuck as rises and Waver breathes it out. He gives no fucks about the perceived duties of a shinki to a god, and besides in this conversation Saber is not a god and Waver is a shinki in form only, but the duties of a person to another person they've chosen. His failure as Iskandar's lover to be even a safe harbor for his thoughts.
He has to go around somehow and get him to a better place. Enlisting help has to be the first step.]
I'd prefer if you both avoid jail if possible, please, and I think your people would appreciate it too. [That said, if the shenanigans that cause jail time does Iskandar some good... it has Waver's blessing.] Though... could a jail ever hold the two of you, teleportation or not? I wonder...
[... what did you do Saber? Is it an amusing story that'll cheer Waver up a little bit?]
Yes! When I was originally summoned, I destroyed quite a bit of one! I promised to pay for the damages, but I was summoned here instead and I'm fairly certain that the town the incident occurred in doesn't even exist here!
From what I've been able to tell, he's the same with everyone, except maybe perhaps a little worse about it with gods. Unfortunately, that would be all gods and not just myself.
Okay. That's in regards to him. Is he able to stand up for others aside from himself?
Because if he is, you may want to encourage that first to build up his ability to be assertive. Then coax him to stand up for himself as a way to further stand up for you or whoever else.
He'll stand up for everyone but himself, it seems, and there are certain other gods who take advantage of that quite a bit. I've done what I can to reassure him that I won't release him from my service because of it, but that doesn't seem to do much to put his mind at ease.

He would take such a thing quite hard, I'm sure.
I had terrible luck with shinki when I first arrived, so I will have to watch my words carefully.
[Or try. It's not exactly something he excels at.]

Come to think of it, I never did repay anyone for the opera house...
[That he vaporized part of.]

[Okay... that sounds like a story. Let's hear it]

Well he's an idiot. But he's Waver's idiot.]
